  2. If you get bitten by a dog randomly when you walk how do you figure out the dog has rabies? My friend says the bite burns. Ooh and if the dog did have rabies and the cut didnt break the skin enough for it to bleed could you still get rabies?

  3. Kaitlin,
You should contact your doctor immediately if you are bitten by a strange dog. You should also contact your local animal control officer, because the dog could go on to attack someone else in a more serious manner. The CDC has a great kids’ page about Rabies: http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dvrd/kidsrabies/
