Tory is an adorable black puppy at the Humane Society of Kent County, Maryland. I bet he doesn’t stay there long, even if he is the least popular color for shelter dogs – black.
Did you know that they’ve discovered that big black dogs are especially hard to find homes for? I guess there are so many that they get passed over in favor of dogs that stand out because of different coloring. If you are visiting a shelter looking to give a dog a home, please make sure you stop to visit with all the big black dogs that are there.
I have heard that too however I have 2 large black dogs and LOVE them. They are the best, most gentle and friendly dogs. It is not the “look” or “color” of the dog that should matter, but the personality.
Little do people know that a healthy black dog looks fabulous – their fur just shines.
