I was recently invited to take a look at a new service by Text Link Ads, a reputable online advertising company. ReviewMe connects bloggers and potential advertisers. In this case, pet related advertisers. Bloggers give an unbiased review of the product, service, or website the advertiser wants to promote. The blogger is paid for the post and the advertiser gets publicity. A win-win situation, right?

Well, if you’ve been following the get paid to post controversy, you’re probably thinking, “Great, another one. Just what we need.” However there are a few very important differences here. ReviewMe will not allow advertisers to demand a positive review. Instead, this service points out that constructively critical comments can help improve the product or service and are just as valuable as glowingly positive reviews. Also, ReviewMe requires the blogger to specify that the post has been sponsored in some way.

My review of this new service? A very easy to use interface. I was able to navigate around the site with no trouble. The ability to see all of the reviews the blogger needs to do in one spot is particularly nice. I think this service will be a wonderful opportunity to bloggers and advertisers alike. If you’re planning to launch a new pet product and want to build some online buzz, I’d advise taking a close look at ReviewMe.
