Dog nutrition

Did you know that dogs are omnivores? This means that they require both meat and vegetables for sound health and good nutrition. In addition to meats and veggies, your dog needs to digest the correct amount of protein, fats, and carbohydrates, as well.

A dog is a carnivore, not an omnivore, and does not REQUIRE vegetables in it’s diet. They may eat vegetables and even enjoy them, there is certainly no harm in feeding them, but their physiology does not require them.
A diet consisting of raw meat, organs and bones are all that a dog REQUIRES to be healthy, all other foods are incidental to them.
Case in point, a dog cannot naturally digest vegetables, their teeth cannot grind the cellulose to extract the nutrients, and their digestive systems are too short to digest them. So in order for vegetables to benefit his or her diet you have to puree them. How is that natural?
Just food for thought…
