If you decide to breed your female dog, please keep her healthy. You should have her shots updated so she can pass on important antibodies to the puppies. In addition, if she has fleas or ticks, be sure you get them under control. Also, have her tested for worms, as she can transfer worms to the puppies. A healthy mother dog makes healthier puppies.
You should also test your dog for hereditary conditions, such as hip dysplasia. A dog who meets breed standards but passes on hereditary diseases can really damage the breed, as well as damaging your reputation as a responsible breeder.

The Doberman Pinscher is endowed to with a tremendous willingness to please. Dobermans make formidable adversaries as guard dogs but also actually do very well with children if they are not trained to be aggressive.
Its important to know your Doberman’s temperament. If he is not afraid of loud noises, crowded areas, or other people, then he can be trained and dealt with the same way as most other breeds. If you do have an even tempered Doberman than it is important not to be rough or impatient. These dogs are quick to learn and will understand in five minutes what other breeds might take 30 to 40 minutes to understand. The Doberman is an ideal candidate for Clicker Training.
It is unwise to yell at this breed. They are really sensitive dogs and a simple command shouted will sound like scolding to the animal. Do not display fear in front of this one, he will react to it.
